Jip van Dort is an affiliate researcher at the Intimacies of Remote Warfare programme where he also conducts his PhD research on wartime propaganda in contemporary Dutch politics, specifically focusing on the war against Yugoslavia in 1999, Afghanistan since 2001, and Islamic State from 2014 onwards. He finished his Master in Contemporary History at Utrecht University in 2007, worked for ten years as a foreign policy adviser for the Socialist Party in Dutch Parliament (Tweede Kamer), and currently works at peace organisation PAX. He lately also did some teaching at Utrecht University and elsewhere.
